To Virgil Abloh and his vision of inclusive fashion – A celebration of Virgil Abloh in Off-White show at Paris Fashion Week.

Off-White’s show paid homage to the brand’s late founder Virgil Abloh who passed away due to cancer last November. Titled “Spaceship Earth: An Imaginary Experience”, the tribute show saw a mix of the brand’s ready to wear collection as well as its new high fashion line that was designed by Virgil himself and later finished by his team. Virgil was considered a true pioneer who changed the fashion world by bringing streetwear to luxury fashion.

The runway was a sight to see as it saw some of the world’s top supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, who donned a tulle skirt in a dusty pink with a graphic tee, a cropped blazer. While Naomi Campbell stunned in a studded layered necklace and a top hat. The show also saw next-gen supermodels Bella Hadid wearing the “Little Black Dress”, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner. With a surprise stroll down the runway from Tennis legend Serena Williams. Amongst the other muses, Helena Christensen walked down the ramp.

The show starts with a pre-recorded interview and a live set while models walked the runway in statement pieces of ready to wear and high fashion.  There were many pieces of knitwear with diamond-shaped cut-outs with pops of colour like yellow or lilac.

In addition to this, there were models who walked out with white flags with the writing ‘Question Everything’ making bold statements throughout the show. Different statement pieces worn had writings like ‘Little Black Dress’, ‘More Life’ or ‘Smoking’ stitched on them.

There were also puffer jackets and oversized faux fur that made a constant appearance on the ramp. Celebrities like Rihanna, Jonathan Anderson, Guram Gvasalia and Pharrell Williams were among numerous others who were caught seen in the first rows who all came in support to pay homage to Virgil.
