LA’s hottest party of the week was the magazine launch of David’s Guide, which also celebrated renowned photographer David Christopher Lee’s 40th birthday. The event was in association with The Givefluencer Network and the Project Pop Drop Foundation. Their collaboration was recently featured on air this week with Access Hollywood.
Five hundred guests arrived wearing the golden attire of heavenly gods and goddesses with David’s Guide Founder David Christopher Lee, at the helm, dressed in a white Maison Marvaan outfit with a golden finger curl hairstyle, was styled by Jon Lieckfelt.
This momentous occasion for the photographer was thrown at the newest Hollywood hotspot in town, Hotel Ziggy, to celebrate the launch of Davidsguide.com, a digital magazine dedicated to showcasing the new renaissance with higher consciousness. Upon entry, guests were treated to a viewing of over 100 magazine covers of the newly launched publication featuring John David Washington, Bella Thorne, Emily Ratajkowski, famed photographer Timothy White, and more, all shot by Lee.
David’s Guide Coverboys Cole Walliser, Guy Tang, Derek Warburton, Sebastian Siegel, and Jorge Perez sipped on cocktails by Players Vodka and Savage Rabbit. At the same time, the David’s Guide Muses Courtney Mckenna, Quyenzi Dang, Nicki Sun, and Jessica Stafford were dancing to a musical journey by DJ Jigar. DJ Jonny Slice set the mood with 70s and 80s downtempo beats.
Other notable guests such as Natasha Graziano, Najee De-Tiege, Jarry Lee, Cindy Cowan, Bryant Wood, Rochelle Brodin, Katie Chonocas, Gregg Martin, The Hollywood Beauty Guru Robyn Newmark, Dr. Michael Newman, and ‘The Melrose Vet’ Dr. Sehaj Grewal were also in attendance.
Serenading guests throughout the night, Universal Music’s alt-pop darling, Whitney Woerz, sang her new hit single Sad Love. Capping off her set with a Happy Birthday to David Christopher Lee while guests waved magical wands by Kinoo in the air. Throughout the evening, makeup artist Hillary Clark gave guests golden makeovers with her anti-aging Beauty HAC skincare product.
A tourmaline ring with diamonds by China Art Jewelry was raffled off to benefit the following initiatives: Gold House, Filipino Voter Empowerment Project, Asians Advancing Justice, and The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment. Lucidity gifted CBD with melatonin to guests. David Wong from Qi Coils demonstrated his frequency healing devices for the Biohack. Joe Ho of Mystical Sounds produced the event.
