High fashion met high art last March 16 as SELENEE unveiled its Spring 2025 collection, “The Garden of Forking Path,” at Neue House Hollywood during LA Fashion Week. The runway show delivered a theatrical presentation of 36 meticulously designed looks, blending vintage and modern influences with artistic precision.

Inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ exploration of time and destiny, the collection reflects the concept of multiple paths and infinite outcomes. Models navigated a reflective garden of mirrors, stopping for carefully curated reveals. Each look embodied the collision of structure and fluidity, making the show a true artistic statement.

The show opened with influencer and model Sonya Esman in a sharp corseted coat. It culminated with Artistic Director MT Yang’s striking red ruffled bow gown — a dramatic finale that left the audience in awe.

The collection’s dark gray and black palette underscores the theme of contrast. Sharp tailoring meets flowing fabrics. Corseted blousons pair with exaggerated shoulders, while vintage plaids are modernized through three-dimensional detailing. Highlights included leather sweatshirts, checkered pants, and sculptural capes — priced between $480 and $5,800 and available for purchase on the SELENEE website.

“Every path is a choice, giving rise to infinite possibilities. Los Angeles is the perfect setting for this collection as it’s not only where my dreams began, but also where many of my friends, like me, have found the courage to pursue their dreams again,” said MoTong Yang, SELENEE’s Artistic Director.

“This show is not only a fulfillment of my original aspirations but also a way to inspire those who once put their dreams on hold due to reality, encouraging them to take a bold step forward. It is for the dreams we once left behind and for the better versions of ourselves.”
Since launching in 2023, SELENEE has made a name for itself with experimental silhouettes and innovative material use. This season’s standout design details — from split cuffs resembling labyrinth branches to layered skirts reflecting intersecting spaces — reinforce the brand’s artistic identity.

SELENEE’s commitment to sustainability is evident not only in its material choices but also in its production methods. The brand champions ethical sourcing and responsible practices, elevating its luxury offering beyond aesthetics.
Beyond the runway, SELENEE continues to challenge the status quo with its blend of artistry, individuality, and environmental consciousness — proving that luxury and responsibility can coexist beautifully.
