On the occasion of the spring season — and in harmony with the glamour of the Cannes Film Festival — Djordje Varda unveils VARDA FESTIVAL, an exclusive floral creation conceived for the legendary Carlton Cannes.
Designed by floral visionary Djordje Varda in collaboration with My Peony Society — an international reference in the world of peonies — this singular variety reflects a shared pursuit of excellence, refinement, and rarity.

The Creation of VARDA FESTIVAL
The result of several years of research, testing, and development, VARDA FESTIVAL was conceived as a bespoke botanical signature to accompany Varda’s collaboration with the iconic Riviera establishment.
More than a new flower, it enriches the property’s floral identity — capturing the emotion, anticipation, and cinematic allure that define Cannes each spring.
An early-season variety of distinctive refinement, VARDA FESTIVAL captivates with the delicacy of its single blooms, its naturally elegant habit, and its subtle charm.

Grown outdoors and flowering among the very first — without the use of protected cultivation — it stands apart for its exceptional earliness and authenticity.
Reaching a height of 70 to 90 centimeters, the plant develops a balanced, generous silhouette enhanced by dense, deep green foliage. Celebrated for its robustness, vigorous growth, and adaptability, it meets the highest horticultural standards while preserving a refined softness in appearance.
A Bloom Timed to the Cannes Film Festival
Its most remarkable trait lies in its rarity. Available for only two weeks, VARDA FESTIVAL typically blooms between the last week of April and the first week of May — a precious window that naturally coincides with the dates of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
This alignment deepens its symbolic connection to the excitement and glamour of the Croisette, where cinema, culture, and luxury converge.
