Design veteran and recently-announced LVMH Prize semi-finalist, Veronica Leoni, presents the Autumn/Winter 2023 Collection for her brand QUIRA.
Inspired by her seamstress grandmother Quirina, who is the namesake of the brand, to designing for Jil Sander, Celine and 2 Moncler 1952, Veronica’s creations weave through artistic audacity and playful elegance. Thoughtful, raw, direct and soulful in her design process, she brings QUIRA to life with bold storytelling.
” Purity of design is powerful. It is extremely personal, too, in this collection more than ever before.
An insight on modern womanhood, looking for the essence that comes from poise. With a certain boldness. Stripping things down, further down and a bit more. Reducing the lexicon to the founding elements – shape, texture, color – to augment expressive possibilities. The harmony that comes from instinctive unbalance.”
A custom project by Laure Jaffuel for QUIRA, the inflatable installation was conceived as a synergy with the architecture of the space and the collection. The result is an experience that invites the audience to interact inside and out as they discover the silhouettes.
The Autumn/Winter 2023 collection is an insight on modern womanhood, focusing on the fundamentals of poise – shape, texture and color. Poetic and mesmerizing, each piece is a model of strictness and sensuality with Veronica’s unique vision and expert technicality.
